Notting Hill area tubes had been being plagued by a multi-millionaire business tycoon who liked to get his kicks rubbing himself up against female passengers.
Stefan Glaenzer, the former chairman of non other than Last.fm clearly thought the usual rules of the tube being that we don’t look at one another nor do we touch one another unnecessarily didn’t apply to him and now he facing jail for rubbing his groin against some poor woman.
Glaenzer didn’t just perform this one act, he regularly travelled back and forth on tubes just starring and women’s arses.
In court witnesses have been accounting for Mr Glaenzer’s inappropriate behavior one spoke of his actions whilst waiting for the central line :
“Mr Glaenzer was standing unnecessarily close to one female, looking down at her back,” said prosecutor Robert Short at Westminster Magistrates Court.
Plain clothes plolice men on the tube had watched the 51 year old businessman as he “ thrust his groin against (one woman’s) backside.”
Glaenzerhas admitted sexually assaulting the woman but blames it on a drugs binge however not the kind of drugs binge you might imagine – he had been smoking weed…
“He does not come to offer excuses for his actions, but simply to bring to the court’s attention that this matter happened in fact he had taken cannabis,” said Sallie Bennett-Jenkins QC, defending.
