London Bridge looks set to have some major disruptions over the coming years as £700m pounds worth of refurbishment plans have been announced by TFL.
Starting May next year and running through until 2018 Network Rail have said that this will be the largest refurbishment that has happened in the past decade causing daily issues on the lines affected.
Being added to the rail network is a new, enormous concourse ‘the size of the pitch at Wembley’ as well as three new platforms meaning that London Bridge will, afterwards be able to make thousands of passengers happy after pissing a load off for six whole years.
If you travel to Brighton often this will be the first line that’s affected in 2013- as all three platforms that normally service this route are closed for a year. Might be time to travel from Kings Cross…
After this the further major changes only come into play at the end of 2014 so you have plenty of time to just stop traveling anywhere from London Bridge and get comfortable with different routes – or move.
