Several Disney classics as well as films from Disney imprint Pixar and studios like DreamWorks are due to be hosted on Youtube as part of their new rental service.
As anyone who’s used the site before will know it’s impossible to find full TV shows of films on the video sharing website due to copyright laws and the fact that the video length is given a 10 minute minimum however now that is all about to change. Films like Snow White, Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio and Pirates of The Caribbean will all soon be available to rent and watch on the site.
The new service is hoping to compete with LoveFilm’s streaming service, speaking about the tie up with Disney a spokesperson wrote for a Youtube blog, ‘Even more of the great Disney classics and new releases will be added in weeks to come, including our YouTube Movie Extras with behind-the-scenes clips, interviews and more.’
