It’s not often we find great looking new denim brands now-a-days and so we were happy to come across Deadstock Denim from Ruell and Ray.
The Spence Slim design is the latest piece of hot property to come from Deadstock Denim made of deadstock 15 oz. Japanese selvedge denim.
The jeans get their name from the fabric used. Deadstock denim is residual, leftover fabric, and usually selvage (loved by a lot of Japanese jean manufacturers), which is scrapped after production of a certain product. The ‘deadstock’ often ends up being forgotten but Ruell and Ray pick it up and let it go on to fight another day.
The Spence Slim features scovill buttons and rivets, lined button fly, triple stitch inseam and back yoke, and two different thread colors. Such is the attention to detail that the waistband is hand painted, the leather patch with logo is hand branded and the inside pocket detail on army green twill pocket bags are hand stamped.
