One good thing about the Olympics is that however crap we usually do at these sort of things as a nation so far, everyones making a really big effort to show case how good we can be at other things during the time the games are on.
We Heart are one of those people looking to show off the UK’s talent in other fields away from gym. For the month preceding London 2012 starting on Monday 2nd July, the pages of We Heart, an online design website will be brimming with creative talent from all over Great Britain.
The project, called Create GB is We Heart’s alternative to Team GB; showcasing young, innovative, convention-prodding and world-beating British talent. From Westwood and McLaren’s punk vision to Thomas Heatherwick’s envelope pushing architecture, Peter Blake’s pop-art to Norman Foster’s world-shaping constructions; Britain has a proud heritage for compelling design that isn’t afraid to push the boundaries a little.
