Another Craft Beer will open on the site of the former Hive in Brixton on Station Road. Craft Beer Co pubs sepcialise in, you guessed it, craft beers, they also do a mean pork pie.
This is Craft Beer’s third pub in London with others being in Clerkenwell and Pimlico. This one will open in September.
Owner Martin Hayes said: “This is a great site, one we are proud to have secured despite interest from a number of other high-profile bidders, testimony I believe to the strength of the brand and covenant it carries with it.”
Brixton is doing brilliantly well at the moment for new eateries and the area as a whole is really having some attention lavished on it. If you’ve not visited in a while then now’s the time to.
Once open Craft Beer Co will have to do battle with the Crown and Anchor on Brixton Road which also sells craft beer and was opened earlier this year. It should be ok though as ratebeer.com has already names it the fourth best bar in the world! Now that’s something worth checking out.
Craft Beer Co have also just launch the HomeBrew Club the members of which will gather together each Sunday from now until Christmas to discuss and experiment with their home brews.
