We are making a prediction that this winter Corduroy will be very much coming in. We have seen in in a number of mens trousers for AW12 in mustards and wine reds and now we have stumbled across these cord jackets from Lavenham.
Lavenham are a quintessentially British brand which began in 1969, known best for its quilting, they were the first people to make nylon quilted jackets, and over the years have successfully established a following of both luxury countryside connoisseurs and fashion forward city slickers.
These elephant cord jackets are another example of two worlds meeting, that of the latest trend on the catwalk and the quilted, heritage nature of Lavenham’s styling and workmanship.
There are three new cord jackets in the collection that include the ‘Sandon’, a Harrington style jacket with welt pockets and a shearling collar. The ‘Craydon BB’, a classic Lavenham design in a 2″ diamond quilt with a grown on hood and the ‘Hundon’, a worker style jacket with a floating patch and chest pockets.
If you are wondering where you might find some nice cord trousers to match with these jackets then pop along to American Apparel, Urban Outfitters of indeed Matalan where they will be happy to oblige.
