It’s not that often that we’re thanked by higher powers for our efforts but now Hammersmith and Fulham council have uploaded a Youtube video of their workers saying thanks to the local residents, through a song.
The video was made as a thanks to residence for helping to make the biggest cut to council tax in the country. The Conservative council have recorded a cover version of The Scaffold’s song Thank U Very Much and a digital advertising van has been touring the Hammersmith and Fulham area playing the song to those who pass by.
The video was uploading to Youtube along with the description ‘Meryl Streep thanked the Academy for her Best Actress Award earlier this week. Sacha Baron Cohen was not thanked for causing chaos on the red carpet at the Oscars and Adele was cut off in the middle of her Brits thank you speech. And now, in the middle of the awards season, a west London council is thanking its residents for helping to cut council tax by releasing it’s own non-silent movie’ and you can check it out above.
