Converse have just released the lookbook for their autumn/winter 2012 collection and it seems like the brand are taking a slightly different direction to what we’re used to.
There was a time when Converse kept it simple. You could buy their shoes in either a high or low top and in an assortment of bright colours. However in recent years the brand have been pushing their own boundaries introducing new materials, detailing and silhouettes to their collection of staples.
This new collection sees the brand taking things yet another step forward with some entirely new designs. Firstly we have the brown tasseled pair which remind us a little of the shoes Pocahontas wears. Next up there’s the clump, sand coloured boot which looks more like a Cat boot than something Converse would put out. Within the collection there’s also the inclusion of zips, spots and a camouflage print we haven’t seen them doing before.
All in all we’re not blown away by this new collection but you can make up your mind for yourself above.
