Danny Meyer’s Shake Shack have been serving big fat artificial ingredient free burgers in the US and now, happily it is time for them to jump the pond to London.
Shake Shack grind their speciality burger recipe daily which means lovely fresh mince for whole host of different flavoured burgers.
These Shake Shack burgers have caused queues in Madison Square Park and now they are likely to cause queues in London too as they set to open in Covent Garden mid this year.
A real success story, Shake Shack started life as a hot-dog cart in Madison Square Park to support the Park Conservancy’s first art installation. Following this Meyer won a bid to keep his kiosk open and serve burgers, hot dogs frozen custard, shakes and more. There are now Shake Shacks all over the world but it was taken all this time (the Kiosk became permanent in 2004) to come to London.
“I’m positively in love with London’s thriving food culture,” Meyer said today in an e-mailed release. “I adore the city and have always enjoyed the time I’ve spent there over the years.”
