A college in Kensington is offering the first iPhone Photography Course.
It’s little wonder that iPhone photography has become so popular given that most of us would far rather take photos on out phones now than carry around an extra digital camera.
But is there really the need for a course in the subject? The course is called ’iPhoneography: An Introduction to Photography with the iPhone,’.
Kensington and Chelsea College offers the class as a run of evening courses that span 5 weeks. Wether five weeks is quite needed to learn all you need to know about taking pictures on a phone we are unsure.
The course goes into apps as well and we are guessing things like composition are sure to be covered.
Richard Gray, the tutor who leads the course, said: “I developed the course after discovering there were a lot of people who had an iPhone who didn’t really know how to use the camera.”
I am not sure how many people I know that don’t know how to use the camera on their phone but…
We are probably being a little negative as the course is of course aimed at people that have very little photographic experience when it comes to cameras or phones.
Mr Gray hopes that the course will provide an ideal way for people with limited photographic experience to join the often inaccessible world of photography.
