So far 2012 has been a massive year for remakes in particular for the horror genre and now we have another film to add to that ever growing list… Chucky.
Yes that’s right everyones favourite possessed doll, Chucky is not only due to get a remake of his 1988 film Childs Play but is also due to have a sequel made to the long running franchise. The news was revealed at the Mad Monster Party when the man who is in charge of Chucky’s scary vocals, Brad Dourif revealed that a brand new Chucky film, entitled Revenge Of Chucky is due to begin work soon.
He also spoke about how the original Chucky film, Childs Play will be being remade after revealing that the original writer Don Mancini was hard at work writing the new script which is said to be be much lighter and funnier than the original.
The news of a remake and a sequel isn’t too much of a surprise, 2013 marks the 25th anniversary of the first film being released so this was probably always bound to happen but it doesn’t make it any less exciting. More Chucky news when we have it fans.
