He proved his worth as a traffic cop in comedy hit Bridesmaids and now Chris O’Dowd is due to star in new film, Cuban Fury alongside Nick Frost.

Making the smooth transition from television actor (remember he was in the The IT Crowd?) to Hollywood A-list O’Dowd has obviously impressed film bosses with his witty roles. Not only has he just finished filming Friends With Kids alongside several of his Bridesmaid’s co-stars but he’s also just signed on for a British flick in which he’ll be playing a salsa dancer alongside Frost.

Cuban Fury will see O’Dowd and Frost playing rival salsa dancers who have years of harboured bitterness against each other. Frost’s character ruined his rivals career several years ago and now as they both try to revive their dance careers they have to get geared up for some more dance-offs.

Now we’re having some issues trying to imagine O’Dowd and Frost dancing alone let alone together but we have faith in both of their comedy skills that they’ll be able to pull it off.
