Just a couple of days after packed tubes left many stranded Central line tube passengers have suffered more chaos following a water main exploded on the line.

Passengers travelling between Bethnal Green and Leytonstone have been left facing delays while others have been evacuated from their tube carriages following a burst Thames water main in Mile End that managed to flood the track.

To make matters worse those travelling at the East end of the central line have been told to seek alternative routes while the issue was sorted. The only problem? After Stratford there are no other tube lines connecting to the Central line making getting home almost impossible unless they fancy paying for a cab.
