There’s fashion films and there’s a Cartier fashion film which by the looks of the one above puts every other attempt to shame.

The video, which is more like a short film, has been made to celebrate the 165th birthday of luxury French jewellers Cartier and it’s impressive stuff not only because it’s taken two whole years to make but also because it’s absolutely stunning. Entitled L’Odyssée de Cartier the film was directed by Bruno Aveillan and stars model Shalom Harlow and it features as much clever CGI as any big motion picture we’ve seen.

The film centres around the iconic Cartier jewelled leopard which was made famous by the brand in 1914 as it comes to life in the film it goes on an epic journey across an icy London encountering some highly recognisable Cartier jewellery on its path.
