Did everyone enjoy the hottest day of the year (so far)? I did. First sign of sun and I was your typical Brit on my lunch break with my arms out, sleeves rolled up, sunnies on, and I did that sprawling in-the-way-of-everyone thing on the floor, ironically using my winter coat as some form of blanket. Of course. It was glorious. Only until obviously, things started to get a little bit (ALOT) nippy and I had to reluctantly head back in to work. Back to my desk and with a (slight) spring in my step after a dollop of sun, I spent the remainder of my break online shopping for my new summer wardrobe. I use shopping lightly; I meant more boshing loads of things onto my ‘wishlist’ or into my ‘shopping basket’ and then not clicking ‘confirm payment’.
Anyway, not a place I usually tend to go to, I stumbled on Forever 21‘s website. Only two years old in the UK it definitely is coming through as a major player high street shop for ladies, especially with Forever 21′s UK store being massive, bright pink and bang opposite Bond Street, it’s pretty hard to miss. As part of their upcoming summer campaign Forever 21 has brought together a festival inspired look with a pinch of Californian cool, using model, songstress and all round It girl Sky Ferreria to front their new ‘Capsule Festival’ collection. Following in the footsteps of supermodel Chanel Iman and blogger Bip Ling, she makes a well worthy new poster girl for the high street chain, with a fashion CV boasting appearances for CK One, Adidas and more recently Saint Lauren.
The just released photos show brightly coloured shorts, multi coloured high waisted shorts with khaki jackets, and floaty tops, perfect for flouncing around Coachella. Or a sweltering day, early March in London. Hmmm..
The collection drops in stores March 22.
