Canary Warf are getting into the gaming spirit with a whole heap of events this summer. They are putting on a series of free events to mark the Olympic Games and some of the highlights are below.
PING!
There is a London Street Ping Pong project going on at the moment, incase you didn’t know and it comes to Canary Wharf from the 13th-22nd July. You can pick up a bat for freeand have a go on the outdoor ping pon tables or just watch the pros in the form of sporting legend Desmond Douglas and more in Jubilee Place.
CITY OF LONDON FESTIVAL @ CANARY WHARF
This will be the 50th year of The City of London Festival and to celebrates it’s got a great weekend line up that spans from Friday 13th – Sunday 15th July at Canary Wharf. The Festival will have a great line up of pop, folk and jazz music including performances from Jazz Jamaica (and special guest Myrna Hague), Santa Macairo Orkestar; Saravah Soul, Otto Nascarella and Aurora Orchestra.
BP SUMMER BIG SCREENS LIVE FROM THE ROYAL OPERA HOUSE
It you want to soak in a bit of culture but can’t afford an opera ticket then head for Canada Square Park on the 16th July and see an exclusive screening of Metamorphosis: Titian 2012. Metamorphosis: Titian 2012 is a unique collaboration between leading choreographers, contemporary artists, composers, The Royal Ballet and The National Gallery making it pretty darn impressive and pretty great that BP are providing big fat screens for us all to see it on for free.
