Camden is getting a right old face lift at the moment. The London NW1 postcode just down from Regents Park and always a magnet for tourists, goths, rockers and most things in between is getting a lot of shiny new additions of late.
The newbies on the Camden street are generally of the restaurant/pub variety but they are a welcome change from certain places (cough, the Diner, cough) that have gone downhill with little to no competition.
Now that competition is here with a brand new Byron, Yo Sushi and Italian on Jamestown Road as well as a new Cote on Parkway and a new bar we just spotted today, with a rock&roll and blue theme, Joes, up Chalk Farm Road.
These are some great additions to the area that, added to the new Boris bikes up Parkway and behind The Worlds End will no doubt bring a few new faces into the area for a wonder.
The new crossing by the station which should be completed any day now will also mean a much better thoroughfare for pedestrians making a visit to Camden on the weekend a much less arduous task. The new crossing will be much like the one that Oxford Circus got last year.
A little insider tip for you also is that on a Sunday the Yo Sushi are doing a 3rd off your bill if you fill in a voucher form with your details for their mailing list.
