We’ve heard of cashing in on your families fame but this is kind of ridiculous…
Brad Pitt’s brother, Doug, has made a dash for some limelight of his own by appearing in a rather weird new advert for Virgin Mobile Australia.
The rather lengthy advert features Doug as he guides us around his very nice but rather humble home in a Cribs style set up. He talks us though his favourite car, printer, basketball hoop and albums in a very monotone voice before the Virgin Mobile lady explains that even though he isn’t famous the company still want to give Doug a ‘fair go’.
The advert itself is pretty clever but why the lesser know Pitt brother would want to put himself up for this kind of humiliation is kind of beyond us. Doug is a very successful photographer with a respected career and doesn’t really need this kind of publicity. We can only assume he accepted Virgin Mobile’s money with his tongue firmly in his cheek.
