Having recently reformed Bloc Party have announced three live UK shows this Summer.
Bloc Party will be playing three dates in June in Glasgow, Manchester and at London’s Koko venue on 21st June. The announcement comes two years after the London band seemingly disappeared from the music industry while frontman Kele Okereke pursued solo projects and performed at various festivals.
Bloc Party will be performing songs from their past albums as well as tracks from their forthcoming album, the follow up to their 2008 album Intimacy. They took to their website earlier today to make the announcement saying, ‘Hello internet, I know it’s been a long two and half years since bloc party last performed in the UK. Well it seems that wait is over, we are happy to announce a short run of intimate shows for our friends in the UK and our friends in the US. We will be playing choice cuts from our new record as well as some more familiar jams. We hope to see you soon.’
Tickets are on sale now.
