After a two year break Biffy Clyro have announced that they are making their musical come back with not one, but two albums.
Heading back into the studio last year to work on the follow up to their 2009 released Only Revolutions Biffy Clyro found that they’d recorded so much good material that they had enough to put out a double album and according to reports today that’s just what they intend to do.
The news was broken by NME who sat down for a chat with the three-piece who revealed the album will be split into two with each part having it’s own name. The first will be titled The Land At The End Of Our Toes and the second will be called he Sand At The Core Of Our Bones.
According to the magazine the bands drummer Ben Johnston told them that they’re trying to make all the tracks on the two albums really diverse saying, ‘We don’t want to pigeon hole it as a ‘big rock album”.
At the moment we’re not sure on when the albums will be released but the band are playing a handful of festivals this summer including Rockness so perhaps they’ll debut some of their new material then?
