Just a few weeks ago we told you how London’s British Film Institute were going to be hosting a special season celebrating the life and works of Alfred Hitchcock and today they’ve released a trailer for it.
Running between June – October the BFI will be screening all 58 of Hitchcock’s films as well as hosting outdoor screenings of two of his 1920′s classics Blackmail and Champagne with a live musical accompaniment and restoring some of his silent films to their original quality.
The event is part of the London 2012 Festival which is taking place to celebrate the Olympic Games arriving in London and will see several of London’s biggest venues and art institutes hosting celebrations.
As well as film screenings there will also be a series of live events and talks with actors who got the chance to work with Hitchcock including Tippi Hedren and Bruce Dern.
This will be the first chance that many Hitchcock fans will have had to see his classic films up on the big screen and if this animated trailer is anything to go by it’s going to be a great event.
If you want to book tickets to the event head over to the BFI website now.
