Today we’re introducing you to the work of Ben Heine, an Ivory Coast native who’s work is one of the most original things we’ve seen for a long while.

Heine’s work combines photography and drawing to make images unlike anything you’re likely to see anywhere else. Heine works by finding a beautiful location or situation and then draws an image that would fit in to that situation, usually something that he image goes on in someones imagination. He then takes pictures of the drawing behind held up against the chosen background.

Among our favourite images he’s created are a panda sipping a beer against a background of the sea, a man pulling in a series of fish on his fishing rod and a lion casually walking down a cobbled street. Check out some of his work above.
