We’re really looking forward to the release of Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom and now we’ve go the chance to go behind-the-scenes on the film with this new video.
With just under two weeks to go until Moonrise Kingdom hits cinemas a series of behind-the-scenes featurettes have been released including this one which centres around one of the films stars, Bill Murray.
As the featurette correctly states Murray and Anderson have worked together several times before so it’s great to see them back together making a film which we reckon is going to be one of the biggest and most loved releases of 2012.
Due to play during the opening of Cannes Film Festival and due for release in the UK on 25th May Moonrise Kingdom is set during the summer months of 1965 on an island off the coast of New England. The film tells the story of two very young love birds (they’re aged 12 to be precise) who decide to run away together just as a violent storm is due to hit the island. The islands residents, lead by local sheriff played by Bruce Willis are forced to go on a huge man hunt to track them down before it’s too late.
As with all of Anderson’s films Moonrise Kingdom looks set to be full of vintage nostalgia, hazy lighting and a sense of humour that is second to none. If you’ve missed any of our coverage of the film you can check it out here.
