A collection of Banksy art work has sold for a whopping £400,000 at auction during The Urban Art sale in London.
18 pieces of Banksy’s art work were sold yesterday at the auction at Bonhams auction house including his famous Girl and Balloon piece which sold for £73,250 nearly five times it’s estimated price. Mean while another Banksy piece, Leopard and Barcode sold for £75,650.
At another auction in the same auction house a screen print of a dollar sign by pop artist Andy Warhol sold for £44,450, the piece was originally painted onto a handkerchief as a present for his friends in 1981.
