It’s a clash between two street art titans, the likes of which have been played out in the world’s media and it seems like the on going battle beween Banksy and King Robbo is going no where after one of Banksy’s most iconic art pieces was destroyed by apparent King Robbo supporters.
In case you’re not aware of the fairly complicated history between the two street artists here’s a quick over view: King Robbo recently accused Banksy of defacing one of his art works which had been around from since the 80′s, although Banksy denies doing so there are many that still don’t believe him. In retaliation to defacing the piece King Robbo made his own attempts to get his own back on Banksy but had an accident which has left him in a coma.
Now an image above in shop in what is believe to be Banksy’s home town of Bristol has been defaced and signed with the Team Robbo tag. The image was Banksy’s iconic piece showing a police marksman with a child about to bust a paper bag behind him (see the original above). At the moment there’s no word of anyone owning up to what’s happened but we wait with baited breath to see how Banksy retaliates.
