When it comes to good quality music you can usually rely on the All Tomorrows Parties events to come up trumps and it looks like they’ve done it again as they confirm Local Natives and Perfume Genius for the next event.
Each of the ATP events, which take place at Butlins in Minehead, are curated by a different musical act and this year it’s the turn of The National to invite people to perform and to also headline one of the nights themselves.
As well as the two new additions Deerhoof, Kurt Vile, Sharon Van Etten, The Antlers and Owen Pallet will also all perform at the event which is taking place between 7th – 9th December.
If you’re a fan of The National you’ll definitely want to get down to their ATP because rumour has it they’ll be performing tracks from their currently unreleased next album as well as a handful of their usual hits.
The first ever ATP took place in 1999 when Mogwai curated the music event when it took place at Pontins Holiday Camp in Camber Sands. Since then the festival has grown from strength to strength and despite the fact it takes place at rather a random location (red coats anyone?) it’s still one of the best festivals around.
