As established names start gearing up for London Fashion Week, it’s heartening to hear about a brand new label being launched this week.
Antithesis has been founded by London College of Fashion MA alumnus, Zahra Ash-Harper and Renée Lacroix and will launch at a pop-up event on 6th September.
The AW12 10-piece collection is called Carry on Closet because – and this is the cool bit – it all fits within a specially designed carry case with pieces enjoying multifunctionality such as being reversible.
Designed with the ‘21st century woman’ in mind, the pair took inspiration from friends and peers who juggle busy work and home lives.
With a focus on the ethical, everything is sourced and made in the UK and their mission statement outlines the belief that ‘the cost of consuming fashion should be offset to the benefit of society and the environment’.
We’ve spotted some lovely fringe detailing on some of the pieces, but the best chance you’ll get to see everything up close is to attend the launch party, from 6pm this Thursday at the Park Plaza Hotel on Westminster Bridge Road. RSVP is essential; email info@antithesis.co.
The collection will be available to buy on the night as well as retailing online from 7 September.
