Anthony Hopkins has taken on the role of playing Alfred Hitchcock in the forthcoming film about the directors life.
Hitchcock started filming on Friday 13th, and Anthony Hopkins got into character to play the director that made such films as Psycho, The Birds, Vertigo, and Rear Window.
Hitchcock is based on Stephen Rebello‘s great book Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho, and Helen Mirren as the director’s wife, Alma; Scarlett Johansson as Janet Leigh; Jessica Biel as actress Vera Miles; and James D’Arcy as Anthony Perkins, whose alter-ego Norman Bates is one of the most famous screen characters of the 20th century.
This is the first look at Anthony Hopkins in character and the make up team have clearly done an amazing job.
Other actors in the film include Toni Collette as play Peggy Robertson, Hitchcock’s assistant; Danny Huston will play Whitfield Cook, a friend of Alma. Michael Stuhlbarg, will be Lew Wasserman, Hitchcock’s agent; and Michael Wincott will play the famous serial killer Ed Gein, upon whom Psycho is partially based.
