When the news broke that an Anchorman 2 was in the offing the WJ office went a little bit hysterical with excitement. And now we’ve had some hints about what the film could be about.

The films director Adam McKay has been dropping some hints about what we might be able to expect when Ron Burgundy hits the big screens again. Without giving too much away McKay revealed, ‘I don’t want to give away too much but I’ll just give a couple pieces of ideas that we’ve kicked around. Keep in mind we’re still writing the story, but I’ll say one phrase for you: custody battle. I’ll give you that. I’ll give you one other one: bowling for dollars.’

So what does that mean? Well it suggests he could have broken up with Veronica Corningstone and he could now be fighting her for custody of Burgundy junior? Or has he fathered a child with another woman? We’ll have to wait a little while to find out as Anchorman 2 isn’t due for release until next year.
