Everyone knows Porotbello Market in Notting Hill but no so many people know about the new Acklam Village Market.

The Aklam Village Market is a renewal of the Portobello Fine Foods Market, and can be found just off Portobello Road, just North of The Westway. If you are wondering where we mean think of the derelict bit to the side of the street food area that houses Vinn Goute and Bocaface.

The market launches this weekend (21st – 22nd July) with loads of events planned for the coming weeks surrounding the opening.

No longer derelict as of this weekend the area, now Aklam Village Market will host live music for the launch and each weekend thereafter as well as introducing a new bar where Portobello Gin and microbeers will be sold.

There is also a small cinema in the space and this weekend there will be Jayson Norris, Et Tu Bruce and also the Director of the Chemical Brothers’ new film is doing a Q&A that night too.  Jazz Traitors is also lined up.
