To celebrate a new exhibition behind held by Chinese artist Ai Weiwei in Berlin a new book is being released.
Ai Weiwei: New York 1983-1993 is a photographic book that documents a ten year period when the then-unknown artist was living as an immigrant living in New York’s creative hub East Village. The pictures show the world at a time of great artistic and political change from the perspective of a man who would go on to become one of the best, and most controversial, artists in the world. The book will also contain interviews and essays.
