Our favourite types of photograph is the type that makes us think and opens our eyes to new worlds and these new pictures of abandoned amusement parks do just that.

These particular pictures are taken at the abandoned Spreepark in Berlin and shows what it looks like when an amusement park has long since been shut down. Apparently there are hundreds of abandoned parks all over the world hidden behind security barriers, or camouflaged with faux facade so that no one knows they exist.

There’s something a bit scary about these pictures and they remind us a little of the Life after the Apocalypse images we showed you last week so if you want an insight into a long forgotten world check them out above.
